In May 2006, Governor Owens signed into law Senate Bill 06-080 authorizing the sale of the “Colorado Support the Troops” license plates for cars, trucks and motorcycles. A one time fee of $25.00 is made payable to American Military Family (AMF), a non-profit working in support of the military and their families.

A guarantee of at least 93% of every $25.00 donation will benefit the Colorado active duty, guard, reserve, and veteran members of the military and their families. Authorization certificates for the license plate are on sale now. The “Colorado Support the Troops” license plates will be available on July 1, 2007.
